Reviewed by Alastair Foster 5 I saw this last time in London in a double bill with the original Class of Nuke Em High. As a huge Troma fan it was a great honour to meet Lloyd Kaufman and i had planned to congratulate him on his latest 'Tromasterpiece' however when i met him i didn't mention the film at all out of respect. Whilst i didn't hate it, it is my least favourite out of all the recent Troma in-house movies. Cutting it up into 2 parts just drags the film down. Whole scenes drag on way too long to seemingly just fill out time. The jokes just aren't that funny, and the topical humour regarding school shootings and cinema shootings just seems mean spirited. Troma have seemingly embraced digital special effects, and oh boy are some of them BAD!
Now i know Troma isn't known for its high budget but i love the makeshift nature of just a melon filled with blood being stamped on it works and is visceral. Seeing terrible digital visual effects takes away from Tromas normally fantastic physical work.
What I did think worked was the chemistry between the 2 lead actresses, they were the only 2 good actors out of the rather mediocre (even by Troma standard) bunch. It really, really pains me to say it but it is not a good movie. I think when Vol.2 comes out it is salvageable and i am still definitely looking forward to it as trailers hint at many scenes not in Vol.1 that look awesome. I just wish that we could have had a really tight awesome 2-hour Return to Nuke Em High as a single film rather then this unfortunate (so far anyways) mess. Big props to Lloyd though he stayed and greeted his fans outside the theatre to the end signing whatever Tromabilia they had. Thanks Lloyd your film disappointed but you still made my day x.
Reviewed by sgtking 5 For 40 some odd years, Troma Entertainment has been going strong. They're responsible for giving us some of the greatest low budget, over-the-top and frequently hilarious bits of celluloid ever. They work super hard to please their loyal fans. This would explain why it takes so long for their films to come out. 'Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger part IV' took a long time to get released, but boy was it worth the wait.
Like many other Tromites however, I was asking the question 'Where the hell is the next Class of Nuke 'Em High movie Lloyd?' Well my friends, good ol' Lloyd Kaufman and his merry men put their heads together and churned out the latest installment. I'm sorry to say that the end result isn't one for the ages. Pros: Cast is game. Decent score and soundtrack.
Provides a few laughs. Some killer, not to mention gruesome effects. Some cool nods to the earlier films. Cons: A lot of the humor falls flat.
Uneven structure. Some things feel forced. Abrupt, anticlimactic ending. Has an 'everything but the kitchen sink' thing going and it becomes tiresome. Final thoughts: I really wanted to love this movie.
It has so much of what I love about these movies, but ends up falling flat a lot of the time. You get the feeling they were trying too hard with this one. It aims to please, but by the end I felt smothered. I'd still recommend this one, but advise all to watch with caution. Perhaps Volume 2 will be of some help. My rating: 2.5/5.
Reviewed by mary-firecracker 1 Once upon a time, I enjoyed Troma movies. They used to be funny and relevant. But with the remake or sequel or whatever this is trying to be, it has become a tired and played out joke. There is no real script, just a bunch of desperate attempts at shocking. And when they aren't trying to shock you, they are trying soooo hard to prove they are still relevant and trendy.

That's right Troma, has officially been taken over by a bunch of unimaginative, boring hipsters. We are living in a time when it is easier than ever for anybody to make a Troma grade horror movie. You could spend years watching bad horror films on youtube, hulu, and anywhere else. It's time for Troma to retire and just give up. Download leapsoft consys v1 3 0-lnd software. They didn't even try with this one.

'Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High aka Volume 2' is the explosive finale of Lloyd Kaufman’s inspired two-part indie event film, the continuation of the compelling adventure of Lauren and Chrissy, two lesbian lovers who must face and defeat the most corrupt and evil forces ever to descend upon Tromavilleand the world! When a perverse conspiracy is launched by the demented CEO of a multi-national “organic food” company, our heroines become embroiled in a death defying fight to restore their own humanity, while at the same time saving the entire world from enslavement and the apocalypse. Per the film’s description, “When a perverse conspiracy is launched by the demented CEO of a multi-national ‘organic food’ company, our heroines become embroiled in a death defying fight to restore their own humanity, while at the same time saving the entire world from enslavement and the apocalypse.”. “Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High aka Volume 2” stars Asta Paredes, Catherine Corcoran, Zac Amico, and Kaufman. It also features cameos from Stan Lee, the Angry Video Game Nerd, Murr of the Impractical Jokers, Ron Jeremy, and the late Joe Fleishaker, Troma’s biggest action star, and Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, in their final movie roles before they passed away last year. Additionally, Kaufman would also like to thank Troma fans for their undivided support over the years and also hopes that they will spread the word on the upcoming film. “Troma would have never succeeded for 43 years without our fans. We are grateful for their support.
As with ‘Volume 1,’ the theatrical release for ‘Volume 2’ will be partially fan fueled,” Kaufman stated. “We are asking Troma fans, and air conditioners, all over the country to petition their local cinemas.
This may be hard to believe, but Troma does not have the advertising budget of ‘Rogue One.’ Our fans play a large part in helping us spread the Tromatic word, and we want to deliver them what Michael Herz calls, ‘The greatest Troma movie in forty-three years!' ” Kaufman is currently preparing a Tromatized version of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” and “The Toxic Avenger Part 5: Grime & Punishment.” Check out the NSFW trailer for “Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High aka Volume 2” below.

Risks and challenges This is Troma’s most ambitious effort ever. The good news is that principle photography, the hardest part of narrative filmmaking, is already complete! The risk now is that the post production may take longer than anticipated. Filmmaking, as it the case with all creative ventures, can take time. However, having done this for 40 years, we are confident we can wrap this film with your support. If we don’t meet our Toronto deadline, we will continue to work toward a January 2016 theatrical release. We hope you, the fans, are as excited to see our film finished as we are.
Please, help us get 'Return to Nuke ‘Em High: Volume 2' released!
